I believe that your "What Is It" tool is ornamental rather than utilitarian.
When we think of tools, we look for wear marks, and I don't see that in this
tool. With the "T" brackets, my best guess is that they were used as a
stand out or hanger (extending from the wall). With the two capped ends.
If they have a hole in the end, they could have been used to display a flag or
symbols. You may check with the ELKS association (National
Headquarters). Local Lodges are not that interested in history, but rather how
to grow and keep members. The National office may have archives of
Ceremonial items, such as the Masons do. Just a guess, Jerry.
